  • What is Micro-pigmentation / Microblading?
This is the process of depositing cosmetics micro-pigments into the dermal layer of the skin with a fine needle in hair-like strokes giving the appearance of real hair. This process uses small dots of pigment, similar to the traditional tattooing technique.

  • How long does it take to heal?
The typical healing process takes about 4-6 weeks to complete. The first 10-14 days are the most crucial as it is advised to not get the brow area wet, unless doing the washing regimen required. Initial minor swelling and irritation is completely normal and the brows will appear darker than normal for the first 2-5 days following the service. The process can include the color to start flaking off and appear softer and less visible during the healing process. However, the pigment will reappear in the following days.

  • How to prepare for your appointment?
Before your appointment, please be sure to avoid blood thinners, alcohol, ibuprofen, and any other pain relievers 24-48 hours before your appointment. Caffeine the day of the procedure may increase discomfort levels and blood flow. Exercising before the brows are done flaking will result in poor healed results. Retin A and fish oil must be stopped at least 10 days prior to the service. Botox administered within three weeks before the appointment will result in a reschedule. It is not advised to have your brows done before a vacation.

  • How long does it last?
Typically, micro pigmentation can last anywhere from 18-24 months, however, harsh topical skin scare and unprotected UV exposure can cause premature fading. Following the aftercare properly will save your pigment from fading too early as well.

  • Does it hurt?
I’ve had clients fall asleep during the procedure & I have had clients indicate it feels like an annoying itch. While everyone’s tolerance to pain varies, the topical numbing and secondary numbing solution used will provide comfort throughout the procedure.

  • Is it reversible?
Permanent cosmetic procedures should always be carefully considered. There are ways to lighten the pigment, but guaranteed removal can damage the skin. Considering the pigment is being placed under the skin, it is crucial to understand the process and review it thoroughly.

  • Who is a good candidate?
Please be advised that Micropigmentation is a form of tattooing and there are some medical conditions and medications that prevent clients from getting the service. If you have any questions, please email or call. Occasionally, a doctor's note can be accepted for special cases.
